My name is Jérôme Coessens and I was born in Aube, a sunny region in southern Champagne, rich in underrated terroirs.
My ancestors have owned vineyards there for five generations, near the village of Ville-sur-Arce (10), so it was only natural that I chose to take over the family vineyard.
In 2006, I decided to establish my own company. With seven years’ experience as a vineyard manager for a large Champagne group, creating a range of local and terroir-driven champagnes was the obvious choice and fulfilled my deepest aspirations.
My wife Valérie joined me on the estate in 2008, marking the beginning of the Champagnes Coessens adventure. In 2021, we took over a vineyard in Les Riceys, opening a new chapter for the estate. The first vinification of this new vintage will take place in 2022, resulting in the release of our first Pinotmaniac cuvée in 2025.
This year also marks the arrival of our son Grégoire, adding a new dimension to our project.
